I've Got Back To School Butterflies!

August 11 came! Oh my, I have back to school butterflies! Today is going to be so fun. We have a lot planned. I am most excited to create our classroom constitution. I have participated in a grant this summer called UTAAH. It is a program to promote an eductation for American History. LOVED IT! In todays activity the students will understand that the need for law and the difficulties encountered in writing constitutions. They will discover answers to questions like: Why do we need laws? How is the idea of compromise important in the writing of constitutions? What are the purposes and roles of governments? I am excited to build our classroom foundation together based on guidelines we set up as a class. Its 8:30... 25 more minutes! Ahhhhhh!!!
